Living the environmental spirit of Islam

Green Muslims is a volunteer-driven 501(c)3 HEADQUARTERED in the metropolitan Washington, DC, area working to connect Muslims everywhere to nature and environmental activism. We host educational, service, and outdoor recreational events and strive to serve as a bridge connecting the Muslim community with local climate action organizations.


 

 “From the Ground Up” - Our new hands-on environmental education program for adults!

Green Muslims, thanks to a grant from the National Park Service’ Chesapeak Gateways program, is launching an experential learning program starting in the Spring of 2024 designed to bring adults closer to nature through hands-on educational programs facilitated by experts.

Our Mission and Vision

The Mission of Green Muslims is to serve as a source in the Muslim community for spiritually-inspired environmental education, action, and reflection. We engage locally while serving as a national resource.

The Vision of Green Muslims is to see Muslims living in the environmental spirit of Islam, striving towards connection with nature and environmental stewardship.
