45. Al-Jathiyah (The Crouching): 12-13

It is God who subjected the sea for you––ships sail on it by His command so that you can seek His bounty and give Him thanks–– He has subjected all that is in the heavens and the earth for your benefit, as a gift from Him. There truly are signs in this for those who reflect. (Abdul Haleem)

It is Allah who subjected to you the sea so that ships may sail upon it by His command and that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful. And He has subjected to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth - all from Him. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought. (Saheeh International)

It is Allah Who has subjected the sea to you, that ships may sail through it by His command, that ye may seek of his Bounty, and that ye may be grateful. And He has subjected to you, as from Him, all that is in the heavens and on earth: Behold, in that are Signs indeed for those who reflect. (Yusuf Ali)

IT IS GOD who has made the sea subservient [to His laws, so that it be of use] to you - so that ships might sail through it at His behest, and that you might seek to obtain [what you need] of His bounty, and that you might have cause to be grateful. And He has made subservient to you, [as a gift] from Himself, all that is in the heavens and on earth: in this, behold, there are messages indeed for people who think! (Muhammad Asad)

Allah is the One Who has subjected the sea for you so that ships may sail upon it by His command, and that you may seek His bounty, and that perhaps you will be grateful. He ˹also˺ subjected for you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth—all by His grace. Surely in this are signs for people who reflect. (Mustafa Khattab)

It is God who subjugated the ocean for you so that ships may ply through it by His command, and you may seek His bounty, and may haply be grateful. He subjugated for you whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth, each and everything. Verily there are signs in this for those who reflect. (Ahmed Ali)

God is the One Who has made the sea of service to you that the ships may run thereon by His command, and that you may seek of His bounty, and that you may be grateful. And He has made subservient to you, from Himself, all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth. Therein, are signs for people who reflect. (Shabbir Ahmed)
